Our move reflects the changing dynamic of today’s readers, consumers and advertisers. We were there at the beginning with Digital Editions services and now we’ve taken the technology on much further using ‘cloud’ based workflow to complement, and even drive further, the demand for good, edited content in printed publications. We’ve been working – for some time now – on solutions to provide today’s modern publishers with tools to be able to deliver content to both tablet and smart phone without undermining the traditional print elements.

At Publishing Expo, we’ll be providing an insight into two new ways for publishers to get content onto tablet and smart phone in a low cost and time efficient way.

App technology

We’ve been working closely with an App development company who are providing the technology for a Publishers’ App – a template driven workflow to enable publishing of magazine content via a Web App for iPad

In addition, we have been working with a digital media company who are providing the workflow to enable publishers to publish content that can be accessed via any device, thanks to unique content optimisation.

Pensord MD Darren Coxon, said “Our aim is to break away from traditional thinking and become a solutions provider rather than merely a print provider. That means delivering online solutions for publishers at low cost; solutions that also require little or low resource, that are easy to use, have the ability to be monetised and look professional and highly creative. In other words, solutions that don’t replace print but complement and work happily alongside the printed page.”
