How to save your PDF as an EPS
![]()
Saving as a postscript file using the Adobe Acrobat Print Driver
A postscript file is an intermediate format between Publisher (or indeed any application) and the PDF file.
We must fine-tune Adobe Acrobat Distiller to work with Publisher. Go START/PRINTERS AND FAXES and then select the ADOBE PDF printer (it might be called Acrobat Distiller)

Right-click and select PRINTING PREFERENCES

In the category RELY ON SYSTEM FONTS ONLY, DO NOT USE DOCUMENT FONTS - deselect this option

Ensure you save your work - File/Save
We will now perform as SAVE-AS into the POSTSCRIPT format
File / Save As

Select POSTSCRIPT as the format (at the bottom) and click SAVE

Select the ADOBE PDF printer (it might be called Acrobat Distiller) and hit SAVE

Select POSTSCRIPT as the format (at the bottom) and click SAVE (remember where you save your postscript file)
