Saving as an EPS file from Adobe Acrobat 5 and 6
Please note the settings are the same for both Windows and Macintosh.
Why do we want to do this? Quark Xpress 4 and 5 has problems processing placed PDF files. Converting to EPS enables Quark Xpress 4 and 5 to process spot colour content in PDF files. Users of Quark Xpress 6 should select the DeviceN colour space when printing PDF files. Adobe InDesign 2 and CS clients have built-in PDF support.
