Sheet-fed magazine printer Pensord is showing its support for publishers in 98 countries across the world by sponsoring the printing of Magazine World, the quarterly flagship title of the International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) for the next two years.
Magazine World is circulated to 7,300 (BPA audited) high-level magazine publishers, executives and suppliers around the world, reporting on the changing global magazine markets with industry news, events, regional analysis and international commentary. This latest demonstration of support follows years of close relationship with the Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) in the UK, during which time Pensord has sponsored their magazines awards events nationally and in Scotland, and become the first and only Strategic Sponsor of the Independent Publishers Advisory Council, a role that recently saw Chief Executive Tony Jones chair the panel of judges for the Independent Publisher Awards.
Pensord printed materials for the FIPP World Magazine Congress last year, and now the company has expanded its support on to the bigger stage. Tony Jones said: “Pensord is absolutely delighted to support FIPP and their flagship title Magazine World, recognised by publishers around the world as the authoritative publication on magazine markets. We are committed to demonstrating our support for the publishing industry at every opportunity, and our relationship with FIPP over the years has included the printing we undertook of the Pocket Programme and Guide to the Exhibition & Publisher Gallery for the organisers of the 37th FIPP World Magazine Congress in May 2009. Printing Magazine World takes us on to the global stage and it is a privilege to be involved.”
Chris Llewellyn, President and CEO, FIPP said: “I am extremely delighted that Pensord have agreed to become the print sponsor of Magazine World for the next two years. Our quarterly magazine reaches some 7,300 of the most important people in our industry worldwide, so it's crucial we produce a magazine of the highest possible standard. With Pensord, a UK-based printer we have worked with in the past, we have a printer who can certainly deliver to these levels.”
