Impressive performance of new Speedmaster

The company’s latest eight-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster XL105 started rolling at the beginning of the year with an ambition of boosting productivity by up to 40%, but the reality is that it has been delivering on average a 70% improvement from the very start.

Printer Andrew Bevan is impresssed by the Speedmaster’s performance:

working together.”

Operations Director Karl Gater said: “The new XL105 is Pensord’s largest single investment and we are delighted with it. We budgeted for a 30% improvement, expecting 40%, over the SM102 it was replacing, but are delivering on average a 70% improvement, and this was from day one, which is a truly brilliant performance, not just from the machine but also from our team running it. The amount of work this press can handle is phenomenal and has resulted in us investing in additional finishing equipment. We also increased our plating capacity prior to the installation with two new Screen CTP devices supplied through Fuji – and boy are we glad we did!”

Heidelberg UK Sales Director Jim Todd is impressed with Pensord’s performance.
