We’re in it together

With concerns about the environment affecting us all, you will be reassured to know that we care passionately about our green responsibilities. We recycle used printing plates, paper, polythene and cardboard. We have also made significant investment in new energy efficient kit, and this process is ongoing through continued investment. We also utilise vegetable based inks which are derived from soya and rape seed. Rest assured, we’ve been committed to sustainable printing for many years.

Yet, while some businesses clamour to impress their customers with their new found environmental credentials, our philosophy has been ‘actions first, badges second’.

For years we have worked diligently on making our processes ever cleaner and greener, and now our environmental record has been endorsed and recognised.

We have achieved ISO 14001 with a full Environmental Management System, in addition to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).

ISO 14001 is an environmental management standard which formalises many of the existing practices carried out here, such as waste handling. We also hold FSC and PEFC accreditation. These are two approaches to showing a chain of custody of paper from well managed forests, through the supply chain to the end-consumer.

We are now eligible to add the FSC or PEFC logo to publications, providing an assurance of traceability.

But when it comes to the environment and protecting our precious planet, we are all in it together, so we’re also determined to help customers improve their own green credentials.
