Directions from the M4

  • Take Exit 28 from M4.
  • Follow signs for Brynmawr. These will take you along four short stretches of dual carriageway.
  • At the roundabout at the end of the fourth section of dual carriageway, take the third exit (A467) following signs for Blackwood.
  • Keep on this road until you reach the second roundabout. Take first exit onto a dual carriageway (A472).
  • Follow the dual carriageway to the first roundabout, and leave the dual carriageway at this roundabout following signs for Pontllanfraith. At the roundabout at the end of the 'slip road' take the first exit still following signs for Pontllanfraith.
  • Continue straight ahead until you come to a set of traffic lights with a CostCutter shop on the left and the Plough pub diagonally opposite on the right.
  • Go straight ahead at the traffic lights down a short hill. As you approach the bottom of the hill you will see a Post Office on the left, and the Arrow Ford Garage, Bridge Veterinary Centre and a Texaco service station on the right.
  • Take the first turning left into Tram Road (approximately 100 yards from the traffic lights - opposite the Arrow Ford garage).
  • Pensord is about 200 yards along Tram Road on the right hand side.
  • Car parking is available on the left hand side of the road.

Directions from the M5

  • Leave the M5 at Junction 8 for the M50.
  • Follow the M50, then the A40, and then the A449 until its junction with the A472 (signed Usk).
  • Follow the A472 from Usk through to Pontypool. There is a by-pass around Pontypool, but continue on the A472 (signed Ystrad Mynach).
  • This will bring you through Hafodyrynys to Crumlin.
  • Take the new by-pass around Crumlin, still following the signs for Ystrad Mynach.
  • Follow signs for Pontllanfraith at the second roundabout on this dual carriageway.
  • At the traffic lights in Pontllanfraith (Plough pub on corner) go straight ahead.
  • Take the first turning left into Tram Road (approximately 100 yards from the traffic lights - opposite the Arrow Ford garage).
  • Pensord is about 200 yards along Tram Road on the right hand side.
  • Car parking is available on the left hand side of the road.
